Another book meme! :-D

Thanks to Aunty Esther for tagging me! :-D

1. What book have you read in the last six months that has really stayed with you? Why?
Hmm.....What did I read last year September? Well, the only book I really remember reading that month was Thecla Merlo Messenger of the Good News, by Domenico Agasso. I really liked it! It's a biography about Venerable Thecla Merlo, foundress of the Daughters of St. Paul. My family and I have been going to the Pauline bookstore for more than five years I think, and it's kinda strange that I've only knew about her just then.

2. What is one of your favorite childhood books?
Do I still count as a child? :-) hehe, anyway, I forgot the title, but I think it was Cookies and Milk or something like that....about a little bear giving up all his cookies and milk to make a dragon happy. I would've given them up too. :-)

3. Do you have a favorite book of the Bible?
Yes, the book of Psalms for the Old Testament and St. Luke's for the New Testament because it has my favorite scripture passage, the Annunciation. :-)

4. What is one book you could read again and again?
My Life with the Saints by James Martin SJ...although I only read it once, I think I would like to read it again and again. :-)

5. Is there a book you would suggest for Lenten reading? What is it and why?
Yes! The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis, it is a bit hard to read at first, but after a while you get the hang of it. :-) How could I explain why I would suggest it? It is so.....I don't know, but it is such a great book for reading during Lent that I can't explain how wonderful it is....:-)

And because we all love bonus questions, if you were going to publish a book what would it be? Who would you want to write the jacket cover blurb expounding on your talent?

Probably about a saint...or a mixture of saints. What else? ;-) The jacket cover? I don't know about that....

That was fun! Now, I tag:

Kaila (if you haven't done this one yet) and whoever would like to play along! :-D

How interesting to read your answers to the book meme. I'm reminded of a good quote..."the trouble with new books is that you then don't have time to re-read the old." I don't know who said it but it is very true.
